About The Client

The client is one of India’s largest manufacturers of hygiene products. The client delivers quality care products to over millions of households and exports to over 11 countries. The company is known for introducing the concept of adult diapers in India.

Business Need

As one of India's leading manufacturers with a presence in multiple countries, the client wanted to control their finances and operations better and improve their gross margin.

They decided to implement SAP S/4 HANA at their new manufacturing facility.

The objective was also to create company-wise business processes for Procurement, inventory, finance, costing, accounting, Investment Management, Sales, and Intercompany Stock Transfer Order (STO).

To execute this project successfully, the client wanted to work with a partner who has strong experience working with companies in the process industry such as food processing, pharma and chemical, etc. It was also important that the partner has expertise in handling Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other such processes.

As one of SAP’s trusted partners, the client gave Sapours the responsibility of the project.


After a thorough understanding of the project, our team implemented the following solutions:

  • Implement New SAP Modules
    We implemented the following SAP S/4 HANA modules:
    • SAP FICO (Finance and Controlling) to help the client manage financial transactions and budgeting.
    • SAP MM (Materials Management) to manage procurement handling and inventory management efficiently.
    • SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) to enable the client to store and manage customer and product-related data efficiently.
    • SAP PP & QM (Production Planning and Quality Management) to improve production planning and maintain product quality throughout manufacturing.
    • Asset Management to help asset managers and service technicians maintain physical assets owned by the company.
    The implementation of these modules was done to help the client optimise business processes, improve operational efficiency, and make better business decisions.
  • Roll Out of SAP S/4 HANA at a New Manufacturing Facility
    We implemented SAP S/4 HANA to improve control over manufacturing processes and business objects, such as buildings and lands. We did it company-wise to provide a structured framework for each entity.
  • Improve Processes
    We identified processes that required improvements and suggested and implemented changes to improve the overall efficiency.
  • Accelerate Financial Cycle Closure
    Implementing modules like SAP FICO allowed the client to close the financial books for a specific accounting period quickly and efficiently. It gave the client an insight into their financial health and helped them make informed financial decisions to improve revenue flow.
  • Improve Material Inventory Reconciliation
    The newly implemented modules like SAP material management helped the client reconcile the material inventory quickly and ensure no discrepancies or gaps in the records. This gave the client accurate visibility over the material inventory to make better decisions about production and material purchases.

7 SAP Experts | Two Months Deadline

Seven SAP experts from Sapours were involved in the SAP S/4 HANA rollout project. They completed the project in a record-breaking time of two months. We also provided the client with post-implementation support to ensure optimum utilisation of the solutions.
